For almost a decade now there has been a stretch of road on Hollywood Blvd. just west of La Brea that has been so rough that cars have to slow down to naviagate through it. The affected area is right in front of the Hollywood Mosaic Temple at 7107 W. Hollywood Blvd. This is a busy intersection as people come onto La Brea south from Franklin and then turn West on Hollywood Blvd. Right there, in front of the church, there’s rough and broken pavement, indentations, crocodile cracking and even small sinkholes . I’ve driven it daily for almost a decade and — because other complaints about rough roads (as opposed to small potholes) always fell on deaf ears, I never complained about it.
The horrible rains we had this winter made this street almost undrivable, and I coukld no longer take it. So on March 1 I filed a service rerquest with BSS. This is what I got back:
This was laughable. On March 8 I drove over that stretch of road and nothing had been done — my car lurched back and forth like a ship in a storm. By March 16, the BSS filled some of the holes with asphalt but the road was still horrible.
So I filed another complaint. On March 31 BSS sent me the following note:
Status: Referred Out
Referred to proper agency
