I also went into this pothole and blew my tire I am trying to find the link online to file a claim
Hey Steven – I filed a claim on this same pot hole. I just received a letter from the City of LA saying they had no prior knowledge of the pot hole and my damages claim was denied. SUCKS! If you filed for damages after me, you may be able to get reimbursed. Somewhere on this site, a guy went step by step on how to file a damages claim and who to follow up with. Good luck and let me know if you need any additional info on my claim and/or advice!
The investigator on my case received the street service report on Friday April 8th with up to date complaints or repairs to said pot hole above. My incident with said pot hole was on January 21st and my claim was filed on January 26th. According to the report (I’m requesting a copy on Monday) there were no complaints prior to January 26th. I sent the article with Simon Classen’s incident to the investigator. I’m sure there has to be a formal complaint filed with the city though.
Does anyone know if Simon Classen reported this to the city?
Simon – you’ll have to give me your dealer’s name. I bent the rim, busted the tire, and wrecked the alignment of my brand new 650i on La Brea, and just the rim was over a grand!
City has not contacted or responded…that’s why I’m on this site…
